An Ere Ibeji Figure. Abeokuta style, Egba region, Yoruba, late 19th C. 
This has the most fantastic colour and he is of very unusual form, wearing shorts.
 
Provenance: The Reverent Edward Thomas Pakenham, Church Missionary Society Superintendent. Stationed in Owo, Oshogbo and Lagos 1909-1921.
